Freedom to Thrive is excited to invite you to participate in our Freedom Campus 2019 Convening. Freedom Campus is a 2-day training for students, youth, and the broader community from across Turtle Island to come together to develop abolitionist strategies, tear down the walls between students and nonstudents, and hold ivory-tower institutions accountable for their role in helping to fund jails, prisons, and detention centers. We are excited to share this invitation with the Freedom to Thrive extended family.
We have limited space, so please apply as soon as possible! The last day to apply is September 30th, and participants will be notified about whether there is space for them to participate by early October.

Freedom Campus:
Location: Boston, Massachusetts
Dates: October 25th – October 27th (2 days)
Freedom Campus is a national movement of youth that seek to make high schools and college campuses safe for all oppressed people. Freedom Campus brings together students and youth to develop their leadership in demanding the end of systemic practices and policies that prevent students from the freedom to thrive.
Students have a right to know but also to not be associated with an institution that is supporting the prison industrial complex, which is responsible for caging millions of people. Join us for the fight to divest our institution from what harms our communities and demand reinvestment to support our communities.
Students working on or interested in starting divestment campaigns on campus, or working on anti policing or immigration work please apply.
We invite all gender non-conforming, women and femme BIPOC doing organizing and liberation work, with a focus on anti-policing, reinvestment/reparations, invest/divest and or immigration work to apply. In the interest of creating a pro-Black, pro-trans space, and balancing the experience in the room, we may not have space for all who apply.
Application Deadline: September 30th. You will be informed about whether we have space for you by early October.
Limited scholarships will be available to subsidize travel costs to the convening. We will be reviewing applications on a rolling basis.

Invitamos a todos que no conforman al género, a lxs mujeres y BIPOC feminina que hagen trabajo de liberación, enfocado en reinversión/indemnización, inversión/desinversión, o contra la policía/inmigración. En aras de crear un espacio pro-Negrx, pro-trans y equilibrar la experiencia en la sala, es posible que no tengamos espacio para todxs los que aplican.
