Texans United for Families participated in Austin’s Occupy the Banks action on November 5th. The action included protesting Wells Fargo’s investment in the for-profit prison industry. People participated in the action by also closing their accounts and moving to non-profit credit unions. Folks moved a total of half a million dollars out of big banks!
