Californians Mobilize against Prison Expansion

On November 14th students and community members from around California convened to discuss the growing criminalization of immigrants and communities of color. One of the major forces behind the rise of incarceration is the For-Profit Prison Industry, whose second largest client is the state of California. Participants explored strategies to jointly target Prison Industry players like CCA and the GEO Group along with key politicians with close ties to the industry.
